Monica P, Expert Tutor and Operations Manager
Monica earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she studied Biology and Business. She then went on to receive her Master’s in Healthcare Administration. During her time at Georgia Tech, Monica performed research on endangered plant species and bacteria. Over the past few years, she has gained considerable experience working as a full time tutor, focusing on elementary to early high school Math. Monica’s greatest joy comes from working with children of all ages by guiding and encouraging them to achieve their goals in and out of school. At K12 Tutor Zone, Monica’s goal is to provide students with interesting and challenging environments which leads to critical thinking and real world applications. She loves to connect with the students and identify the best way for each individual student to learn. Monica believes that the finest teaching methods are ones that use examples and analogies to make the material more approachable and understandable. Her favorite measure of success is seeing a student’s smile after passing a quiz or test! In her free time, Monica enjoys traveling, crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and friends, and cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets!
Jasmine P, Expert Tutor and Educational Consultant
Jasmine graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Biology, along with a concentration in Business. In her last year at Georgia Tech, she had the privilege of conducting research in structure and functions of proteins. After graduating, Jasmine was fortunate to work with Georgia Tech and The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC). As an instructor for Art and Robotics (Artbotics), Jasmine guided middle school students in hands-on activities that integrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to build moving art sculptures. For Jasmine, one of the most rewarding aspects of working with children is seeing them encourage each other and solving problems. As a tutor at K12 Tutor Zone, she has the opportunity to educate young minds and have a positive influence on their education. In her spare time Jasmine enjoys running, reading, and playing tennis.
